Veteran Trust NetworkVeterans helping veterans make the transition

How it works

A person first. Then the tools.

Support starts a year before you separate and runs a year after: a guide, in-person gatherings, and the Roadmap Tool, an app now in development.

Who it's for

The year before you get out, and the year after.

Not only retirees. Anyone separating from any branch, at any point in that two-year window. Free to you.

Guides

Veterans who made the move two to four years ago.

Close enough to remember the first months. Far enough out to know what mattered. That's the qualification.

Guides aren't counselors or recruiters. They sit at the table, answer honestly, point you to the official resource when there is one, and stay in touch if you both want to.

Gatherings.

Nothing below is booked yet. This is the plan today.

  1. A paid golf fundraiser

Players and sponsors pay to play. The day exists to fund the gathering.

  2. A free gathering

People getting out sit in small groups, each with a veteran guide, with specialists on benefits and finances in the room.

  3. The year that follows

You keep your guide. The Roadmap Tool keeps the steps and dates in one place once it launches.

Coming soon

The Roadmap Tool.

A phone app being built for the same two years, with your guide on the other end.

  • One map for everyone. Every step from 12 months before separation to 12 months after, in order and on your dates.
  • Your depth, your call. On each step, choose Skip, I've got it, or Help me.
  • Help me reaches a person. Your guide sees it and helps you read your map.
  • Not ready yet. It's in development. Raise your hand and you'll hear when it opens.
